WATCH: McCarthy’s Spicer Emerges from the Bushes to Keep His Job

‘That’s Right, Spicey’s Back – Sarah’s Out’

After ramping up fans of Melissa McCarthy’s Sean Spicer this week, “Spicey” officially returned to “Saturday Night Live” last night.

The sketch began with cast member Aidy Bryant as Sarah Huckabee Sanders, opening a press briefing. “For those of you who don’t know me yet,” she began, “my father is Mike Huckabee, and my mother is a big, southern hamburger.”

Bryant announced “Sanders” was filling in for “Spicer,” but it’s quickly pointed out that McCarthy is watching from the bushes. (An obvious nod to the reports that Spicer hid in the bushes following the firing of James Comey. Almost as if he was on staff at SNL, Spicer later clarified that he was “among” the bushes.)

“Move, move,” McCarthy soon rushed into the briefing, pushing Bryant from the podium. “That’s right, Spicey’s back – Sarah’s out!”

Spicer’s “little dollies” soon appeared to explain that “there’s no Russian thing.” This time, he utilized Russian Nesting Dolls to explain the administration’s ties to Russia. “First of all, here’s Trump,” McCarthy began. “He’s the biggest one, and he’s the most beautiful.”

When confronted with the fact that Trump may be lying to “Spicer,” he became distraught and went in search of Donald Trump. (Naturally, he isn’t in the White House or at Trump Tower, but rather a Trump property.)

It led to the cross-country trip that saw McCarthy riding Spicer’s podium through the streets of New York this week, eventually ending with the return of Alec Baldwin’s Trump—where the two share a few special words and get, well, pretty close.
