WATCH LIVE: Sally Yates, Fired by Trump, Testifies Before Senate on Flynn, Russia

More Bad News for Trump?

Former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, fired by President Donald Trump when she announced she would refuse to defend his Muslim ban in court, will testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee today at 2:30 PM EDT. (Ironically, at the same time, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals will also hold a hearing on Trump’s Muslim ban.)

Yates, a career law enforcement professional, is expected to tell Senators what she knows about Mike Flynn, then-Trump National Security Adviser. Yates reportedly had warned the Trump team that Flynn might have been  and might be susceptible to blackmail from Russia.

In a thoroughly unprofessional move, President Trump has been using Twitter to try to intimidate Yates, though it’s doubtful it will work.

CNN says these are the five things to watch for from Yates’ testimony today:

1. What was the extent of Yates’ warning?

2. How limited will Yates be?

3. Did Yates’ warning make it all the way to Trump?

4. Will there be anything left for House investigators?

5. It’s not just Sally Yates testifying

Indeed, former Obama Director of National Intelligence James Clapper will also be testifying today.

Watch live above, starting at 2:30 PM EDT.
