Bottom Line: Trump Is Desperate and Nervous
Hours after Hillary Clinton gave her first public interview on the election and hours before FBI Director Jim Comey is set to testify on Russia, a desperate President Donald Trump took to Twitter to attack, well, all of it.
Trump criticized his own FBI Director by saying Comey gave Clinton a “free pass,” while accusing his former opponent of “many bad deeds!”Â
The President also again claimed the Trump/Russia story is “phony,” and “an excuse used by the Democrats as justification for losing the election.” All 17 U.S. intelligence agencies have made clear it’s anything but “phony.”
He then referred to himself in the third person, saying, “Perhaps Trump just ran a great campaign?”
So much crazy, so few characters.
Bottom line: Trump is desperate and nervous.Â
