Lots of Speculation Senior White House Adviser Jared Kushner May Be the ‘Person of Interest’ in Russia Probe

‘A Current White House Official’ Is ‘A Significant Person of Interest’

Jared Kushner may be the person of interest referred to but not named in Friday afternoon’s Washington Post bombshell. A “senior White House adviser” is “under scrutiny by investigators,” the Post reported, saying they are “someone close to the president.”

The Washington Post report also says “a current White House official as a significant person of interest.”

There’s certainly a lot of speculation pointing to Kushner.

New York Magazine writer Yashar Ali on Twitter reports his sources say the person of interest is Trump’s own son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

He also reminds that Kushner neglected to disclose meeting with Russians on official government documents:

Kushner was reportedly the one who pushed for the firing of FBI Director James Comey.

Lastly, the UK-based Independent reports Jared Kushner “has reportedly been identified as a ‘person of interest’ in the ongoing investigation into possible ties between Russia and Donald Trump’s campaign,” but their reporting is thin.
