Snowflake Sean Hannity Accuses Liberal Group of Trying to ‘Silence’ Him and Get Him Fired

Has America Had Enough of Right Wing Extremists?

Sean Hannity is accusing the progressive advocacy organization Media Matters of “liberal fascism,” saying they are trying to “silence” him, get him fired, and pressure his advertisers. The Fox News TV and Premiere Networks radio host who has become increasingly eccentric and extremist since Roger Ailes was removed from the cable news network last year, recently has been using the sad and tragic murder of a young Democratic National Committee staffer to push back against the Donald Trump opposition, and to make what is likely a lot of money.

On July 10, 2016, DNC staffer Seth Rich was fatally shot in what Washington, D.C. police say was a robbery gone bad. He was just 27-years old.

For reasons that go beyond imagination, a conspiracy theory started (what is it about insane, far right wing conspiracy theories and DC?) that alleged Rich was responsible for providing Wikileaks with all the hacked DNC emails, despite U.S. intelligence reports which make it clear it was the Russians.

Sean Hannity has been among the most vociferous disseminators of these hurtful lies. Rich’s family repeatedly has begged Fox News and Hannity, among others, to cease and desist, but up until a few hours ago, that wasn’t going to happen.

Recently a local D.C. Fox affiliate published a story that was so filled with twisted information the internet had had enough. Conservatives and liberals alike attacked the station, Fox News, and the far right wing nuts like Hannity and Alex Jones for spewing false information, and using the memory of a murdered 27-year old to do it, causing great anguish to his family.

Fox News finally today issued a retraction, after the Rich family demanded it under threat of legal action.

“Anyone who continues to push this fake news story after it was so thoroughly debunked is proving to the world they have a transparent political agenda or are a sociopath,” family spokesman Brad Bauman said in a statement. “In either case, they should be taken off the air because they are either blind to the damage they are doing to a murder victim’s family or don’t care, showing a profound lack of judgement and common decency.”

But in the Fox News retraction was also a statement promising to “continue to investigate this story,” when there is no story aside from a robbery that became a murder.

And now, Sean Hannity has decided that in the 10-month old murder of a 27-year old, he’s the victim, not Seth Rich.

“IMPORTANT! Hannity tweeted Tuesday afternoon. “Mediamatters is trying to silence me, get me fired, pressure my advertising on radio & TV. Liberal Fascism. I need your help!!”

Presumably, Hannity’s “IMPORTANT!” plea is in response to this:

He later posted a tweet trying to get more viewers, something he did a few weeks ago, promising a huge announcement that never happened.

Sean Hannity in 2015 reportedly made $29 million. He is supposedly worth an estimated $90 million. Does he really think Americans believe he needs their help?

On Twitter many denounced Hannity:

But if Hannity thinks there are no repercussions, he should think about Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck, and others who have insisted on operating against the wish of a vast majority who refuse to support those who don’t tell the truth, or pursue an extremist agenda:
