For many it is a solemn day, and it’s an important opportunity to remember the nearly 7000 armed services members who died during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It’s also an important opportunity to remind ourselves that veterans die by suicide at the staggering rate of at least 20 each day, on average, the Washington Post reports, citing the latest study.Â
