Eric Trump: It’s ‘Fake News’ That I Said ‘We Have All the Funding We Need Out of Russia’ to Build Golf Courses

Like Father, Like Son

Like father, like son.

Both Donald and Eric Trump Monday morning bright and early were tweeting about “fake news.” The President’s shot was at the “fake news” media that (he says) doesn’t like to mention that the Obama administration gave General Mike Flynn his security clearance. (It wasn’t the Obama administration, it was career security professionals during the Obama administration – and important distinction.)

But Eric Trump was on an entirely different mission.

Here’s the background.

Three years ago, according to award-winning sports writer James Dodson, one of Trump’s PR people urged him to attend the opening of the company’s newest course, the Trump National Golf Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dodson told WBUR when he first met Donald Trump, “I asked him how he was — you know, this is the journalist in me — I said, ‘What are you using to pay for these courses?’ And he just sort of tossed off that he had access to $100 million.”

“So when I got in the cart with Eric,” Dodson said in his interview, “as we were setting off, I said, ‘Eric, who’s funding? I know no banks — because of the recession, the Great Recession — have touched a golf course. You know, no one’s funding any kind of golf construction. It’s dead in the water the last four or five years.’ And this is what he said. He said, ‘Well, we don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.’ I said, ‘Really?’ And he said, ‘Oh, yeah. We’ve got some guys that really, really love golf, and they’re really invested in our programs. We just go there all the time.’ Now that was three years ago, so it was pretty interesting.”

Apparently, Eric Trump is furious, and taking a page out of his father’s book, has now decided that a sports writer whose main focus is golf, is now a card-carrying member of the “fake news’ media.

Re-tweeting The Hill’s pickup of the story, Eric Trump says it “is completely fabricated and just another example of why there is such a deep distrust of the media in our country.” Of course, that was followed by the hashtag, “.”

The Trump has funding from Russia isn’t fake news, per Donald Trump, Jr. who in 2008, according to TIME, talked about Russian funding:

“Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets,” Donald Trump Jr. told a Manhattan real estate conference in 2008, according to an account posted on the website of trade publication eTurboNews. “We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”

In February, President Trump made clear what constitutes “fake news”: “Any negative polls are fake news,” he said, weeks after being sworn in.

A ‘Close Ally’ With ‘Strong Ties’ to Marjorie Taylor Greene Was Part of the Capitol Attackers: Report

Published

on

CNN’s K-File reported Wednesday that someone Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) called a “friend” was part of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Anthony Aguero, who does live streaming conservative commentary, confessed on video that he had been among those who entered the Capitol. He also contradicted false claims that the Capitol attack was done by “Antifa.”

“We were all there. It was not Antifa and it was not BLM. It was Trump supporters that did that yesterday. I’m the first to admit it, being one myself,” said Aguero in a Jan. 7 video.

“A message was sent,” Aguero said in a streaming video during the Jan. 6 attack as he walked away from the Capitol. “These politicians are not going to continue to get away with the abuse as they’ve been doing. We will continue to press on these individuals.”

According to the report, Greene and Aguero “have worked closely together over the years on causes such as immigration and the border wall and have attended pro-Trump rallies together.”

Many of the videos have been deleted, but CNN captured Greene repeatedly calling Aguero “amazing” and a “friend.”

“On social media, Aguero has called Greene ‘one of my closest friends,'” the report said.

AOC Smacks Down QAnon Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene Over LGBTQ Equality Act

Published

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez D-NY) just slammed “QAnon Congresswoman” Marjorie Taylor Greene over her opposition to the LGBTQ Equality Act. The House will vote on the legislation this week, and is currently engaged in determining the rules for the vote.

Rep. Greene, Republican of Georgia, has been waging war against the bill, falsely claiming it “destroys women’s rights and religious freedom,” and is “evil.”

Greene on Wednesday bragged on Twitter that she had just made a motion to adjourn, in a lame attempt to derail the legislation from moving forward.

Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez blasted and mocked her, saying, “You could just vote ‘no’ instead of trying to get out of work early.”

And she reminded Greene that trans women are women.

AOC did not stop there.

Last week AOC made headlines after raising over $5 million for the people of Texas harmed by the deadly storm and lack of power and running water.

Biden Moving Quickly to Fire Postmaster General as DeJoy Tells Dems to ‘Get Used To Me’

Published

on

President Joe Biden is moving quickly to fire Louis DeJoy. Or rather, since the President does not have the power to fire a Postmaster General, he is moving quickly to have him terminated.

Biden is set to nominate three candidates to the Postal Service’s Board of Governors, giving Democrats a majority, The Washington Post reports.

The President “will nominate Ron Stroman, the Postal Service’s recently retired deputy postmaster general; Amber McReynolds, the chief executive of National Vote at Home Institute; and Anton Hajjar, the former general counsel of the American Postal Workers Union,” the Post reports.

McReynolds’ inclusion was hailed, given her work as a voting rights advocate.

Earlier Wednesday DeJoy snarkily told Democrats they will have to “get used to” him, saying he has no plans to resign despite the millions of dollars of damage to postal machines he caused, and despite the massive delays in mail delivery times he created. Many believe those actions were taken after President Donald Trump waged war on mail-in voting which Democrats advocated for to save lives during the coronavirus pandemic. It was, many say, a concerted effort to undermine the election.
