Donald Trump Tweets Which Home He’ll Be Working From Today

What Exactly Does He Do Every Day?

President Donald Trump minutes ago tweeted that he’ll be working from his home in suburban New Jersey today.

Why?

Trump has made it quite clear, having visited a Trump property about once every 2.5 to three days since taking the oath of office, that he does not care what Americans think about where he spends his time. Trump has also made clear, by barring pool reporters and photographers from being able to see him playing golf, that he does care about what people think of what he’s doing.

So it is rather odd that the President of the United States, a supposed “populist,” just tweeted, “I will be working out of my home in Bedminster, N.J. this weekend.” He claims it’s to avoid disruption at Trump Tower – which he has not visited more than once since the inauguration, and where is wife and teen son still live. (They reportedly are moving into the White House in June.)

Trump neglected to mention that his “home in Bedminster, N.J.” is also home to the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.

The President adds that working out of his New Jersey home saves the country money. That’s false.

The President traveled to Manhattan late Thursday afternoon to attend a dinner with the Prime Minister of Australia, during which Trump praised that country’s universal health care system. Saving the country money would have meant traveling back to the White House last night, not taking his entourage to New Jersey for who knows how many days.

But it needs to be noted that this president has yet to fill the vast majority of openings in his administration. There are literally hundreds of key positions unfilled, and many, many more non-vital positions also unfilled. Not because Democrats are holding up nominations, but because Trump hasn’t nominated anyone to fill them.

In fact, it’s very clear that President Trump is not doing many of the most basic requirements of his job.

If Americans, as does this President, think the government should be run like a business, Donald Trump should be on written warning.
