Gorsuch, who was confirmed last week after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell invoked the nuclear option, becomes the 113th justice to serve on the nation’s Supreme Court. He is the first to have to be confirmed by breaking Senate rules, and one of the few who received only a slim majority of Senate votes.
Justice Gorsuch is extremely conservative. FiveThirtyEight analyzed his decisions and places him to the right oft he justice he is replacing, the late Antonin Scalia.Â
A Gorsuch confirmation would restore the conservative lean that existed on the court prior to Scalia’s death. https://t.co/ybf8lDg2u2 pic.twitter.com/mL0jgGaiqO
