WATCH LIVE: Final Senate Vote on Nomination of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court
11:30 AM EDT Start Time
The full U.S. Senate will vote on the nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. Proceedings are expected to begin around 11:30 AM EDT.
On Thursday Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell succeeded in killing the filibuster by changing the rules of the Senate in order to confirm Gorsuch, after a Democratic filibuster blocked his nomination from moving forward. Now, all Supreme Court nominees will need only a simple majority to be confirmed in the Senate.
