‘Mother Of All Bombs’
The U.S. military has just dropped the largest non-nuclear bomb ever used on ISIS, in Afghanistan. The bomb reportedly has a 1-mile radius. It’s unknown what the exact target was, why now, how many casualties there were, among other questions.Â
Pentagon spokesman Adam Stump “says it was the first-ever combat use of the bomb, known as the GBU-43, which he said contains 11 tons of explosives,” the AP reports. Known as the Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb, it is nicknamed the “Mother Of All Bombs.”
