Trump’s Easter Morning Message: ‘Our Military Is Building… Frankly, We Have No Choice!’
Trump Also Mocked Yesterday’s Tax Marches, His China Stance and Boasted About His ‘Impossible’ Election Win
Mar-a-Lago may not have a situation room, but it certainly has Twitter access.
Donald Trump, who this weekend reportedly took his 19th visit to a golf course during his seventh weekend (of 13) at Mar-a-Lago, took to Twitter this Easter Sunday for a rapid fire tweeting-spree.Â
The spree began not long after 8 AM today, amidst Easter Sunday and Passover, with Trump defending his 180 on labeling China a currency manipulator – or perhaps denying it outright?
“Before: China is a currency manipulator and could easily convince North Korea to abandon its nuclear ambitions,†Politico previously reviewed the flip in Trump’s policy. “Now: China is not a currency manipulator, and its relationship with North Korea is complicated.â€
Why would I call China a currency manipulator when they are working with us on the North Korean problem? We will see what happens!

 Some reponses via Twitter:
@realDonaldTrump There must be another reason for the flip flop… perhaps getting 38 trademarks from China, a clear violation of the emoluments clause?

Arguably an afterthought, Trump tweeted “Happy Easter to everyone!†before turning his attention to his “impossible†White House win and the thousands of Americans who turned out yesterday for the Tax March to demand he release his tax returns:
I did what was an almost an impossible thing to do for a Republican-easily won the Electoral College! Now Tax Returns are brought up again?
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 16, 2017
Someone should look into who paid for the small organized rallies yesterday. The election is over!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 16, 2017
 Some responses:
@realDonaldTrump We’re like your taxes.
Unpaid. pic.twitter.com/OBHMwyERXp
— Nick Jack Pappas (@Pappiness) April 16, 2017
@realDonaldTrump No one paid for the rallies, Trump.
People just genuinely hate you and want you impeached.
God, you’re embarrassing.#AMJoy#SundayMorning pic.twitter.com/r2ZCXaVHVG— Holly #TheResistance (@AynRandPaulRyan) April 16, 2017
@realDonaldTrump So ALL of these are “paid protestors”?
You are out of your damn mind.

Finally (for now?), Trump turned to the military for his Easter message:
Our military is building and is rapidly becoming stronger than ever before. Frankly, we have no choice!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 16, 2017
 Twitter responded:
@realDonaldTrump China: “We must avert WWIII.”
N Korea: “We’re ready for nuclear attack.”
S Korea: “We’re running defense drills to prepare for war.”

@realDonaldTrump you choose the resurrection of all days to brag about military might.
— JÉ (@JonathanEmile) April 16, 2017
@realDonaldTrump Let’s see … which country should I threaten today to distract from tax returns, Russia Investigation, protests, etc.?
— Rob Szczerba (@RJSzczerba) April 16, 2017
@realDonaldTrump With the death of 117 year old Emma Morano, no one is still alive from the 19th century. All that remains is Trump’s current world view.
— Rob Szczerba (@RJSzczerba) April 16, 2017
@realDonaldTrump you can not bomb your approval ratings higher.
— JÉ (@JonathanEmile) April 16, 2017
@realDonaldTrump You’re certainly rapidly depleting our supply of missiles and enormous bombs without reason, if that’s what you mean.
— Alex Zalben (@azalben) April 16, 2017
Arguably, Trump’s Easter message this morning could be an improvement from his previous Easter message of unity:
I wish everyone, including the haters and losers, a very happy Easter!
