President Trump Sounds Scared
Why would a Republican President of the United States who did very little during the election to help other Republicans care about a single House seat where the GOP has an overwhelming majority? Why would President Donald Trump send four tweets in two days attacking one of the 17 candidates running for the seat, a Democrat who has never held any political office before?
Because he’s scared.
Trump knows if a Democrat takes the Georgia 6th seat, it’s a total rebuke on him and his disastrous presidency.Â
By now Americans know Donald Trump doesn’t care about their taxes – he wastes millions of their tax dollars every weekend he golfs, which is every other weekend.
He’s just scared, because he knows an Ossoff win will send tremors throughout the GOP, and weaken him even more.Â
In addition to the tweets, Trump has even recorded a robocall attacking Ossoff.Â
I wondered who Jon Ossof was, why Trump is so scared of him. It turns out, Trump should be.
Ossoff is just 30 years old. He grew up in Georgia. He has an undergraduate degree from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service, a Master of Science degree from London School of Economics, and he was a national security staffer and aide to Rep. Hank Johnson. In high school he interned for civil rights icon, Rep. John Lewis. He also owns and runs a documentary film studio that investigates corrupt officials.Â
If anything, Trump probably should be hoping he wins.Â
