Trump Just Admitted That Not a Single One of His 59 Tomahawk Missiles Hit a Syrian Runway

‘It’s What They Teach You on Day 1 at Trump Military College’

President Donald Trump just admitted that not one of the 59 Tomahawk missiles he directed to attack a Syrian military airbase actually hit a runway. Immediately after news broke that Trump had done a “180” and deviated from his previously stated policy of non-intervention into Syria, many across the news media hailed Trump as “presidential,” but now that focus and motivation of his attack seems to have been both without any policy intent, and to redirect the political conversation stateside away from his Russia tribulations.

Saturday afternoon, after spending more than five hours on his golf course at Mar-a-Lago, President Trump posted a rather defensive tweet that appeared to attack those who have been questioning why his attack on Syria did not take out the runways, after he had bragged the airbase he had hit was the one from which chemical nerve agents, likely sarin gas, were used by President Bashar al-Asssad on his own people.

Some have called it an “empty political gesture.”

“The reason you don’t generally hit runways is that they are easy and inexpensive to quickly fix (fill in and top)!” Trump tweeted.

There are reports that within hours of Trump’s attack Assad’s planes were once again taking off from the airfield.

On Twitter, many pushed back on Trump’s defensive claim:
