Conservative Commentator Tomi Lahren Sues Glenn Beck

Seeking a Temporary Restraining Order

Last month conservative commentator Tomi Lahren, who has been called “White Power Barbie,” and has been accused of espousing racist ideas, was suspended from her show at Glenn Beck’s TheBlaze TV network after announcing she is pro-choice. Shortly thereafter, according to reports, she was fired, or “banned permanently,” according to The New York Post. Now, she’s suing Beck and TheBlaze for wrongful termination, and asking for a temporary restraining order against her former employer.

TheBlaze, according to The Dallas Morning News, has not fired Lahren, but taken her show off the air, asked her to stay away from social media, and even somehow banned her from updating her own Facebook page. It hasn’t had a new post since March 19.

The Blaze wanted to keep paying Lahren, the suit says, “presumably hoping they could find an exit strategy to sanitize their unlawful conduct” in breaking Lahren’s two-year employment contract, which was to continue through Sept. 30.

Lahren’s bosses ordered her to “go dark” and stay silent on social media, the suit says, adding that Facebook page, where she has 4.2 million followers, is not The Blaze‘s property.

Lahren’s lawsuit describes what her attorney calls acts of retaliation, including canceling her work email account and having yellow caution tape in a big “X” placed on her dressing room floor.

Her two-year contract ends Sept. 30. Lahren would like The Blaze to cancel it now so she can find work.

In case you’ve never heard of Lahren, here’s a vile commentary she made last month about Trump revoking Obama’s guidance protecting transgender students:
