5 Things for Monday

What You Need to Know to Start Your Day

Good morning!

It’s going to be an extremely busy week.

Here are five thing you need to know for today:

  • President Donald Trump will not get a vote on repealing and replacing health care this week. Instead, Congress will actually do its job and work to fund the government before the Friday midnight deadline. Trump is trying to get Congress to include appropriations for his border wall in the bill which literally, if he forces the issue, could shut down the government.
  • The Senate investigation into Russia’s interference in the November election and the Trump campaign is a joke. There are no staffers dedicated to it full time, none are trained investigators, and they haven’t interviewed any key players.
  • Marine Le Pen, the far right white nationalist who came in second in France’s Sunday presidential election, will have a tough time winning. Recent history (Brexit, Trump) show France need to not take her poo showing in high population areas as a sign they can relax. She’s dangerous, and needs to not win next month’s runoff election.
  • The AP has released the full transcript of their Friday interview with President Trump. It’s a rambling disaster. He lies, forgets things he just said, and insists he’s doing a great job.
  • Fox News’ Sean Hannity has been accused of sexual harassment, which he vociferously denies.

That’s what you need to know to start your day. We’ll be working on several of thee stories throughout the day.

Stay tuned.
