Democrats Will Try to Block Gorsuch’s Confirmation
Beginning at 11 AM EDT the Senate Judiciary Committee will begin hearings on the nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Gorsuch is inherently unqualified to sit on the nation’s highest court, given his stated public opinions against same-sex marriage and a woman’s right to choose.
Democrats will try to block Gorsuch’s confirmation, after Republicans blocked President Barack Obama’s nominee from even getting a hearing, much less an up or down vote.
Lambda Legal and 18 LGBT organizations have sent a letter denouncing Gorsuch’s nomination.
