WATCH: 3-Term GOP Congressman Says House Intel Chair Nunes ‘Works for the President’

‘He Answers to the President’

Three-term Republican Congressman Ted Yoho of Florida says House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes “works for” President Donald Trump. YoHo, a member of the Tea Party Caucus, Thursday afternoon was asked by MSNBC’s Craig Melvin if he’s comfortable with Chairman Nunes’ actions.

Nunes last week ran to President Trump to share with him classified information he had received, presumably at this point by a source within the Executive Branch of the federal government, that allegedly showed “unmasked” names of Trump campaign,  transition team, or administration officials who were “swept up” in intelligence community surveillance.

It is widely believed that Nunes is merely attempting to give the President cover on his accusation that President Barack Obama wiretapped him, which is a felony.

Rep. Yoho told MSNBC that Chairman Nunes “works for the President. He answers to the President.”

Yoho went on to say he’s “OK with what he did.”

To be clear, the only person a member of Congress works for or answers to are his or her constituents. No one else. That Rep. Yoho thinks Nunes works for President Trump is exceptionally disturbing, more so for Yoho than for Nunes, although, based on his actions, Nunes appears to agree.

Did Rep. Yoho think he worked for President Barack Obama last year?

Also on Thursday The New York Times revealed the names of two White House officials it says “played a role” in getting Nunes the documents that allegedly back up his claim that Trump team members were inappropriately “unmasked” by U.S. intelligence agencies.

Here’s the video of Congressman Yoho:
