Unprecedented: Trump Approval and Disapproval Ratings Just Became His Worst Ever

It’s Never Been This Bad

No president, not even President Donald Trump, has ever had ratings this bad – until today. Gallup has just released its Daily Trump Job Approval numbers and they have never been worse, not for Trump, and not for any president at this early point in their tenure. Gallup says it is the lowest for any new president since they began polling presidential approval ratings in 1945.

As of today, almost six out of ten Americans, 59%, disapprove of the job Trump is doing as president.

A mere 35%, barely more than one-third of Americans, approve of his performance.

Gallup’s numbers represent a three-day rolling average, so they’re tempered by more than just one incident.

Trump has been in office for 69 days. At this point in their presidencies, Barack Obama had a 61% approval rating, George W. Bush had a 53% approval rating, Bill Clinton was at 52%, George H.W. Bush was at 56%, and Ronald Reagan was at 60%. (Note: ratings are all via Gallup and as close to the same number of days in office as possible.)
