Sean Spicer: Sessions Was ‘100% Straight’ With Testimony and Those Calling for Recusal Should Be ‘Ashamed’ (Video)

For Once, Spicer Is Actually Correct – Here’s Why

Sean Spicer says Attorney General Jeff Sessions was “100% straight” in his testimony before the Senate and anyone calling for his recusal is playing partisan politics.

“There’s nothing to recuse himself [from],” the White House Press Secretary told Fox News, as Raw Story reported. “He was 100% straight with the committee, and I think people who are choosing to play partisan politics with this should be ashamed of themselves.”

Not only Democrats, but Republicans have also called for Sessions to recuse himself from investigations into Russia.

Some Democratic lawmakers are also calling for Sessions to resign. But even that is not enough. Sessions appears to have lied under oath about meeting with the Russian Ambassador. Lying to congress while under oath, which he was, is a felony punishable by up to five years in jail and/or a fine.

Calling for recusal when that should be a given is just unacceptable from Democrats.

Spicer is actually 100% correct: Democrats who are calling for recusal should be ashamed. They should  be calling for resignation and an FBI inquiry to determine if perjury charges should be recommended.
