Even a Fox News Poll Can’t Save Trump
Wednesday evening Fox News released a new poll that found the majority of registered voters disapprove of the job Donald Trump is doing as president. That followed a Gallup daily tracking poll on Tuesday that recorded a new low in approval ratings for President Trump.Â
Looking deeper into the Fox News poll, as AmericaBlog’s John Aravosis reports Thursday, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), the former Democratic presidential candidate, is far more popular than President Trump. 61% of registered voters say they view Sen. Sanders favorably. Just 44% of registered voters say the same of Donald Trump.
(Note: The poll asks different questions. 51% disapprove of the job Donald Trump is doing as president, and 44% view him favorably. 53% view Trump unfavorably.)
There’s more bad news for the embattled billionaire.
Planned Parenthood, which Republicans have been targeting for decades, is also far more popular than Trump. 57% of registered voters view the health services provider favorably, 32% do not.
And even ObamaCare, in a Fox News poll, beats Donald Trump.
50% view the Affordable Care Act favorably, 47% do not. Again, Trump is viewed favorably by just 44% of voters.
Vice President Mike Pence ticks up above Trump, at 47%.
Falling below President Trump’s 44% favorable rating are Elizabeth Warren (39%), Paul Ryan (37%), Nancy Pelosi and Sanctuary cities (33%), WikiLeaks (31%), Chuck Schumer (26%), Mitch McConnell (20%), and the far right wing extremist group of conservative Republican Congressmen, the Freedom Caucus (19%).
As NCRM reported Wednesday, voters do not want Republicans to repeal and replace ObamaCare. Only 7% say they want Trump to prioritize getting rid of it. 54% oppose TrumpCare, the GOP’s bill to repeal and “replace” ObamaCare.
