House GOP Group Trump Is Negotiating Health Care With Is Made Up Entirely of Men So Twitter Is Totally Mocking This Photo
Seriously.
President Donald Trump has been focused on negotiating with a House Republican group, the most right-wing group of conservative Republican lawmakers in Congress. Currently, despite Trump’s claim he is a great dealmaker, the vote on the bill to repeal and “replace” ObamaCare has been postponed. A vote was slated for Thursday night but that now will not happen.Â
Trump has been trying to appease the Freedom Caucus, chaired by Rep. Mark Meadows. Even Vice President Mike Pence has been involved in negotiations.
But as ThinkProgress reports, the Freedom Caucus appears to be made up entirely of men. Membership in the caucus is not published but it’s a safe bet the Freedom Caucus is all male and all white.

Right now Republicans are trying to kill the portion of the Affordable Care Act that mandates all health insurance policies include basic coverage items like prescription coverage, hospital stay coverage, and yes, prenatal/maternity care.
This photo has been making its way around Twitter as a display of who is in control of women’s health care, and it’s disturbing.
Appreciated joining @POTUS for meeting with the Freedom Caucus again today. This is it. #PassTheBill pic.twitter.com/XG6lQIy5a6

This is the House Freedom Caucus. They want to remove maternity care as a requirement for insurance plans.

Anyone surprised that the room where @GOP is discussing whether to include maternity benefits in health insurance looks like this? pic.twitter.com/dddQ2XzHMZ

This is outrageous: Not a single woman in the room as @Mike_Pence and @HouseGOP propose removing maternity coverage in #Trumpcare. pic.twitter.com/wwY6WsN206

If you think this is an anomaly, this took place today too:
