Democrats Delay Vote on Gorsuch as at Least 19 Senators Say They Are Voting No

One Week Delay

At least 19 Democratic Senators have indicated they will vote against confirming Judge Neil Gorsuch after the Trump Supreme Court nominee testified before the Judiciary Committee four days last week. And now the AP reports Democrats have managed to delay the committee vote on the far right wing conservative jurist by a week, despite there being enough Republicans on the committee to pass his nomination on to the full Senate.

Citing this tweet posted minutes ago from Vermont Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy, The Huffington Post’s Jennifer Bendery says there are 19 Democrats who have publicly stated they are opposed to Gorsuch.

There likely are more, though they have yet to announce a position.

UPDATE I: 12:39 PM EDT –
