PROOF: Pundits Are Praising Trump for a Speech That’s Almost the Same as the One He Gave at CPAC
Compare and Contrast – Words and the Policies Almost the Same – Just the ‘Tone’ Is Different
President Donald Trump Tuesday night delivered his first address to Congress, and was immediately praised by pundits across the political spectrum. Of course, conservatives heralding their leader is generally expected, but Democrats and progressives?
What exactly was being applauded?
Perfect example:
“His tone was so measured. Impressive.” – Politico
“His unity talk hit just the right note.” – NYT
“His presidency started tonight.” – CNN https://t.co/00Xzwd7NPc

By the way, that link goes to this:

Which is also a perfect example.
Donald Trump did not change his policies Tuesday night. He did not become a Democrat, or a moderate Republican. Literally nothing changed, except he wore a blue suit and tie, and he moderated his words, his tone, but not their meaning.
Even many of the words were the same as the speech he delivered to his base at last week’s CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Convention, home to some of the most far-right politicians, political operatives, and activists.Â
On Wednesday’s “Meet the Press,” Chuck Todd offered proof.
He took clips of Trump speaking Wednesday night before Congress, and placed them side by side with clips of his CPAC speech.
Take a look:
There were three differences between Trump’s address to Congress last night and his speech to CPAC last week: Tone. Tone. Tone. pic.twitter.com/ihsSota4wg

So, in the minds of Americans, including some of our more liberal pundits, all Trump has to do to be “presidential” is tone it down a bit.
This is insanity.
This is how we got to Trump in the first place.
Remember NCRM’s official statement on Trump:
Donald Trump’s statements and policies have made America a more dangerous place to live and work, and have put Americans at greater risk of terrorism. He foments violence and hate, is a serial liar, a racist, a misogynist, a supporter of white nationalism and anti-Semitism, a fascistic bully, an authoritarian thug, a sexual assault and adultery braggart, a hypocrite, a defrauder, and is a danger to civil rights, freedom of the press, and peace around the world.
America really needs to wake up.
Now.
