President’s Approval Rating At Historic Low
After a tumultuous first four weeks in office, President Donald Trump will attempt to begin righting the ship on Saturday with a campaign rally in Melbourne, Florida.Â
Tony Ledbetter, who’s coordinating the rally, told Fox News it will be Trump’s “first re-election rally.”Â
On Friday, Trump’s approval dropped to 38 percent, a historic low for modern U.S. presidents. Timothy Naftali, a presidential historian at New York University, told the Washington Post the rally appears to be “an attempt to inject some adrenaline into his administration and shake a perception of loserdom.â€
“Except for the fact that he doesn’t have a big plastic button, this certainly looks like a reset,â€Â Naftali said.Â
Michael Caputo, a former senior adviser to Trump’s campaign, told CNN he expects the rally will be the “first of many.”
