So What if They Are?
Time and time and time again, now-President Donald Trump has proven he has no idea how government works. Not at the executive level, and not at the constituent level, and not at the grass roots level.
The President just posted what is even for him an inane tweet, saying it’s “Sad!” that the “so-called angry crowds” showing up at Republican lawmakers’ town halls are actually “planned out by liberal activists.”
Whether or not that’s true, so what?
Does the president think he is the president of only the people who voted for him? Does the president think Republican lawmakers only work for Republican constituents?Â
Clearly the answer to both questions, as stunning as it seems, is “yes.”
Frankly, if “liberal activists” are this angry that they’re ready and willing and able to organize, and show up en masse at town halls, the problem is even worse than the president imagines.
One thing we can all be sure of: constituents – unlike then-candidate Donald Trump’s attendees at his campaign launch event, and unlike the employees he now drags to speaking events – are not being paid. Not by George Soros or anyone else. And they don’t have to be.
So, yes, Mr. President, “in numerous cases” the people showing up to their Senators’ and Congressmen’s town halls are liberals, and maybe some of the crowds are organized by activists.
I seem to remember a little something called the tea party that did the same thing. Not just the 2010 tea party, as vile as it was, the 1773 one too.
Both of those had a powerful effect on this nation’s direction, and I can assure you there was a lot of organizing that went in to making both a success.
Don’t, for the love of god, keep showing just how ignorant you are, how partisan you are, how dismissive you are.
Because we’re here, and yes, you can be damn sure we’re angry. Not “so-called angry.” Angry.
And if you want us to prove it, just wait.
