Trump Posts Disturbing Tweet Admitting He Needs to Be Pushed ‘To Do the Right Thing’
Also Tries to Use the Office of the President to Bully Respected Retailer to Not Drop His Daughter’s Clothing Line
President Donald Trump late Monday morning posted a disturbing tweet. It violates his claim and his daughter’s claim that they have disengaged from their businesses. It attacks a highly respected retailer for allegedly dropping Ivanka’s fashion line. And, perhaps the worst part of his tweet is this: The President of the United States admits he doesn’t make good decisions and needs to be “pushed” to do the right thing.
“My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom,” Trump tweeted from his “personal” Twitter account. She is a great person — always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!”

He also, totally inappropriately, retweeted his personal tweet via his official @POTUS White House Twitter account, which is supposed to be used for official White House business – not arm-twisting a corporation so the daughter of the president can make more money.
Surprisingly, Trump the businessman cannot grasp that a very effective grassroots boycott of Ivanka Trump’s businesses has won, yet he insists they continue to feature a line that just isn’t selling.
“Based on the brand’s performance, we’ve decided not to buy it for this season,” Nordstrom said a week ago.
Is this how the great billionaire businessman does business? He makes financial decisions because someone is “a great person”? Yet he expects a 116-year old publicly-traded S&P 500 component retailer with over $14 billion in revenue to do that?Â
Calling Trump’s tweet “totally out of line,” Larry Noble, general counsel of the nonpartisan Campaign Legal Center, told CNN Money President Trump “should not be promoting his daughter’s line, he should not be attacking a company that has business dealings with his daughter, and it just shows the massive amount of problems we have with his business holdings and his family’s business holdings.”
But that’s not really the worst part.
Trump admitting that he needs his daughter to push him “to do the right thing” is.
Americans have a president who is a total disaster. This latest admission just makes that even more clear.
Earlier today, President Trump, also via Twitter, admitted that he is incapable of keeping America safe.
When will Republicans begin impeachment proceedings?
