Trump Declares DNC Chair Vote ‘Rigged’
America’s Juvenile Occupant in the White House Gets Slapped Down
Attempting to recover from the slap-down newly-elected Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez delivered Saturday afternoon, President Donald Trump Sunday morning declared that the DNC chair vote itself was “rigged.”Â
The vote by 442 of the party’s 447 voting members (five were absent) was conducted in public and with paper ballots. The candidates and/or their representatives had full access to the proceedings. A simple majority was required, Perez won by 35 votes.
Trump’s claim that Rep. Keith Ellison, the runner-up, “never had a chance” is of course false. Perhaps it’s hard for Trump, who didn’t win the White House by earning the popular vote, to understand there’s no “DNC Electoral College,” and majority rules.
It’s entirely unclear how the process could be “rigged,” but Donald Trump lies every single day, so his lame attempts to discredit the duly-elected DNC Chair should been seen for what they are: the ravings of a juvenile.
The race for DNC Chairman was, of course, totally “rigged.” Bernie’s guy, like Bernie himself, never had a chance. Clinton demanded Perez!

Trump Saturday “congratulated” Perez also via a tweet. Implying Perez will do a poor job, or somehow is unfit (Trump knows a lot about that) he ended his tweet saying, “I could not be happier for him, or for the Republican Party!”
Congratulations to Thomas Perez, who has just been named Chairman of the DNC. I could not be happier for him, or for the Republican Party!

Really, it’s beneath the Office of the President of the United States to engage in this embarrassingly inane banter, and it proves he lied during his speech in the wee hours of November 9, telling Americans after Hillary Clinton had called to concede and congratulate him on winning the White House, that he would be the president for all Americans.Â
Perez, showing he has no interest in treating Trump with kid gloves, jumped right in.Â
In a brilliant display of unity – his first act as Chairman was to appoint Keith Ellison Deputy Chairman – Perez slapped down Trump.
“Call me Tom,” he responded. “And don’t get too happy. @keithellison and I, and Democrats united across the country, will be your worst nightmare.”
