Trump Delays New Muslim Ban For Another Week, America Must Be at Risk Like President Told Us, Right?

We Should Probably Run and Hide. Because, Sweden.

One week after being sworn in as president Donald Trump signed an unconstitutional executive order banning Muslims from seven countries and another executive order days later revoking visas from 100,000 people. Why did Trump act so quickly? According to the president himself, Americans are in extreme danger and it was imperative that his Muslim travel ban be implemented immediately.

(Never mind that America has been a country for, as of today, 87891 days, and comparatively we’ve not seen many terror attacks.)

Over the next few days courts weighed in noting the order was likely unconstitutional. The Acting Attorney General, Sally Yates, told Trump she could not and would not defend it in court, believing it was unconstitutional. He fired her. Within a week one federal judge placed the order on hold, nationwide. That ruling was upheld by a federal appeals court.

Along the way, here’s what Trump tweeted:

And then, this:

In other words, Trump has told Americans if his Muslim travel ban is not in place we will be in extreme danger. So, apparently, we are in extreme danger!

The administration has vacillated between challenging the ban in court and just rescinding it and signing a new one that is not unconstitutional.

For days we’ve been told a new executive order was coming, and it was supposed to be signed today.

But now the administration has told several reporters the new executive order will not be ready for another week.

Why? How long does it take to write an order to keep us safe? Whatever will we do? Why is Trump putting our lives at risk? Why does Trump hate Americans?

We should probably run and hide.

Because, Sweden.

Or, we could work on getting a new president. The latter seems the wiser course.
