“I know every single word and song by heart,” Patrick Park says
President Donald Trump has selected Patrick Park to be his ambassador to Austria in part because Park loves “The Sound of Music,” according to a report in The Palm Beach Daily News.Â
Park, a concert pianist/industrialist who lives in Jupiter, Florida, reportedly is obsessed with the 1965 movie filmed in Salzburg, Austria. He told the newspaper he received unofficial word that he’s been selected for the position in the form of a note from Trump saying, “on to your next chapter, Ambassador!â€
“The president said he thought it [Austria] would be a good match for Park because it is steeped in musical culture,” the Post reports.Â
Park said he’s seen the movie “like 75 times.”Â
“I know every single word and song by heart. I’ve always wanted to live in the Von Trapp house,” he said.Â
