Donald Trump Actually Just Said This: ‘Nobody Knew That Healthcare Could Be So Complicated’ (Video)

Everybody Knows

In a meeting with Republican governors – and only Republicans, no Democrats – President Donald Trump on camera Monday morning said, “nobody knew that healthcare could be so complicated.”

This is reason number 577 that proves Donald Trump doesn’t know the first thing about the Affordable Care Act, what Obamacare is, what the health exchanges do, what the law does, or how it affects the federal budget and deficit.

It’s truly stunning that Trump thinks “nobody knew that healthcare could be so complicated.” Because everyone in America knows healthcare is complicated. Just ask anyone who has bought insurance, or tried to get an insurance company to pay for something they say they cover before you sign up then find ways to try to deny coverage – and that even after the Affordable Care Act became law.

This nation’s healthcare is a mess. Obamacare at least made insurance companies deliver quality plans at lower cost, literally helping tens of millions of people – among offering many, many other protections and benefits for consumers, not to mention the federal deficit.

The fact that we’re the richest nation in the world, and the only one out of the top 25 wealthiest nations in the world that does not offer universal health care, is stunning.

Trump on Monday told the governors he will make healthcare “really, really good for them.”
