CPAC Rescinds Invite to Right Wing Provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos for Video ‘Condoning Pedophilia’

‘The American Conservative Union Has Decided to Rescind the Invitation of Milo Yiannopoulos to Speak’

CPAC has rescinded its invitation to Milo Yiannopoulos to speak at its convention this weekend, citing a video that shows the “alt-right” figurehead defending sex statutory rape between adult men and teens as young as 13 or 14.

“Due to the revelation of an offensive video in the past 24 hours condoning pedophilia, the American Conservative Union has decided to rescind the invitation of Milo Yiannopoulos to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference,” Matt Schlapp, who heads the organization that runs CPAC, said in a statement on Monday.

Schlapp, who often appears on MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN as a political pundit, had invited Yiannopoulos, saying on Saturday, “We think free speech includes hearing Milo’s important perspective.”

In the videos, Yiannopoulos defends adult men of all ages having sex with young teen boys – which is legally rape, and is also child abuse and morally reprehensible.

At least one of the two videos were recorded in2015 and have been freely available.

Yiannopoulos has not hidden his controversial views, in fact, he pushes them to attack liberals in the name of free speech. He appeared on Bill Maher’s show Friday, attacking transgender people as dangerous to children.

President Trump will be speaking at CPAC on Friday.
