SORE LOSER: After Two Major Court Defeats, Trump Claims “Our Legal System Is Broken”

President Doesn’t Like Judges Checking His Power

After two major court setbacks in one week, President Donald Trump took to Twitter early Saturday to declare that “our legal system is broken.”

On Thursday, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a district judge’s decision halting Trump’s anti-Muslim travel ban.

On Friday, after the administration indicated it would not appeal the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court, Trump said he may sign a new executive order similar to the one that was blocked by U.S. District Judge James Robart.

In his tweet Saturday morning, Trump cited a Washington Times report saying 77 percent of refugees who’ve entered the U.S. since the travel ban was halted are from the seven Muslim-majority countries it targeted. But there have been no fatal terror attacks on U.S. soil since 1975 by immigrants from those seven countries — which was a factor behind Robart’s decision to halt the ban.

A few responses from Twitter below.
