President Attacks Billionaire Entrepreneur: “He’s Not Smart Enough To Run For President!”
UPDATE: The New York Post reported Sunday that the White House is tracking Democrats who could challenge Trump in 2020, including Cuban.
President Donald Trump falsely claimed Sunday morning that billionaire entrepreneur and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, who endorsed Hillary Clinton and once called Trump “batshit crazy,” actually backed him — “big time.”Â
“I know Mark Cuban well. He backed me big-time but I wasn’t interested in taking all of his calls. He’s not smart enough to run for president!” Trump wrote.Â
It’s unclear what Trump was responding to, but Cuban recently told TMZ he doesn’t think the president will last four years. Cuban also recently advised CEOs to “be an American citizen first” despite potential backlash against their businesses if they criticize Trump.

Back in May, Cuban said he’d consider a possible future run for president. But in July, Cuban endorsed Clinton last July, saying he thought Trump had gone “batshit crazy” and questioning whether there was “any bigger jagoff in the world.”
“Trump scares me,” Cuban said. “Donald, initially, I really hoped he would be something different, that as a businessperson, I thought there was an opportunity there. But then he went off the reservation and went batshit crazy.
