Accused of Possibly Breaking the Law
Starting now, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions committee (HELP) will question Rep. Tom Price (R-GA), Donald Trump’s nominee to become the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Dr. Price’s top goal is to kill Obamacare.
While this Senate committee’s hearing is important, this is not the committee that will vote on whether or not Price’s nomination will be put before the full Senate.
Price is the subject of at least three reports that allege he purchased stock in companies for which he also sponsored or advocated for legislation that would benefit them. Sen. Chuck Schumer, the new Senate Democratic Leader, this week said Price may have broken the law.
Price is also an anti-gay extremist who holds views dangerous to the LGBT community and to women.Â
