WATCH: Activists Fly ‘RESIST’ Banner Over White House in Protest of Trump’s Policies

‘In Resistance to Trump’s Climate Denial, Racism, Misogyny, Homophobia, and Bigotry’

Activists from Greenpeace scaled a crane in Washington, D.C. and unfurled a large, 70 x 35 foot banner over the White House that says in all caps: “RESIST.”

Greenpeace says the banner is meant to protest “Trump’s attacks on environmental, social, economic, and educational justice.”

On Facebook, Greenpeace adds the banner is “in resistance to Trump’s climate denial, racism, misogyny, homophobia, and bigotry.”

The AP reports the protestors, who are calling this a First Amendment action, have been atop the crane for hours, although they unfurled the banner just about an hour ago. They will be charged once they descend the structure.

The crane is actually a few blocks from the White House, but tall enough so it makes the perfect statement.
