Trump to Announce His Supreme Court Nominee Tuesday – Two Days Earlier Than Planned

Trump White House Scrambles to Deflect Muslim Ban Criticism

President Donald Trump has just announced he is pushing up his announcement of who will be his Supreme Court nominee by two days. Trump will make his announcement Tuesday at 8 PM, he said in a tweet:

Trump last week had said he would be making his announcement this coming Thursday, but the White House is desperate to change the national conversation and deflect criticism from his disastrous and likely unconstitutional executive order banning Muslims from seven Muslim-majority nations.

The President Monday morning defended his ban, which caused chaos world-wide and was in part stayed by four federal judges across the country, by lying.

On Twitter, Trump falsely blamed Delta airlines’ computers, protestors against his ban, and “the tears of Senator Schumer” for the international chaos over the weekend.

All three of Trump’s top SCOTUS picks are ultra-conservative white judges appointed by President George W. Bush.
