Trump Transition Member, a GOP Congressman, Compares Rep. John Lewis to ‘Pouting Spoiled Child’ Throwing a ‘Tantrum’

Stunning: Top Fox Business Anchor Slams Democrats Boycotting Inauguration: ‘Are We Five Years Old?’

Fox News Business anchor Maria Bartiromo suggested Monday morning the more than two dozen Democratic lawmakers who are boycotting the inauguration of Donald Trump are children, while a Republican Congressman referred to his fellow Democratic Congressman, civil rights icon, Rep. John Lewis as a “spoiled child” throwing a “tantrum.”

Bartiromo interviewed Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY) who sits on the President-elect’s transition team, was the first sitting member of Congress to endorse Trump, and unofficially serves as Trump’s congressional liaison.

Collins, who hold no leadership position in Congress and has served only since 2013, told Bartiromo that Democrats are “wallowing in their sorrow” over Clinton’s loss, and “can’t get over the fact that Donald Trump won.”

Bartiromo introduced U.S. Congressman John Lewis’ remarks, that Donald Trump is not a legitimate president to the discussion, calling them, “incredible” and “outrageous.”

“It’s frankly outrageous to me that 24 Democrats are boycotting the inauguration. Really? Are we five-years old?” she asked.

Bartiromo’s panel proceeded to bend over backwards to support the president-elect. Later in the interview, which happened to fall on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Rep. Collins returned to the discussion, saying, “in my opinion, what John Lewis is doing is, he’s pouting. He lost, it’s like a spoiled child, and we’ve seen it with the others, they can’t get over the fact that they lost, and what do spoiled little kids do? They run around and throw a tantrum.”

“That’s what we’re seeing there, they are pouting, and frankly, it’s somewhat enjoyable, to watch, because it shows you again how upset they are, and when they were so smug when they left Congress, knowing that Hillary Clinton was going to win.”
