President Barack Obama Sunday afternoon tweeted New Year’s Day greetings, in which he highlighted achievements including marriage equality, and promised to stand with Americans after he leaves the White House.

He noted his extraordinary success in job creation, and the importance of Obamacare.

Gains made in reduction of dependence on foreign energy, and increased usage of renewables:

And he noted more troops are home, and marriage equality is the law of the land:
