Political Cartoon Nails New Twitter Battle Between President Trump and Employees of Federal Agencies

‘I Decide What Is the Truth!’

Professional illustrator David Witt penned this cartoon in response to the events of the past few days.

In an interview Wednesday Witt told NCRM it struck him that he wanted to share with people what he perceived is wrong with the Trump White House, and do so in a creative, contemporary fashion.

He says he was shocked at the rapid and increasingly viral response the cartoon has generated since he posted it on his blog around 10:30 AM.

What do you think – nailed it?

So, what’s going on?

“NASA, the EPA, and the National Parks Service have all created rogue social media accounts to share research-based information about their fields due to threats of account blackouts from Trump’s administration, federal scientists are scrambling to backup almost a decade of their research that is being threatened with erasure, and press outlets are opening secret drop-boxes for federal employees to share thousands of documents that are vanishing from their federal databases,” Alec Fischer notes. “What is happening to our country right now?”
