BREAKING: DONALD TRUMP SWORN IN AS 45TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

Serial Liar, Racist, Misogynist, Supporter of White Nationalism, Fascistic Bully, Authoritarian Thug, Sexual Assault and Adultery Braggart, Defrauder, and Danger to Civil Rights, Freedom of the Press, and Peace Becomes Leader of the Free World

Donald Trump has been sworn in as the 45th President of the United States of America, succeeding President Barack Obama. At 12:00 noon Eastern Standard Time, the billionaire Republican, a real estate developer and reality TV show host who won the Electoral College but not the popular vote, stood before Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, placed his left hand on the historic Lincoln Bible, raised his right hand, and repeated the oath of office as proscribed in the Constitution:

I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Some say the moment he spoke those words he automatically became in violation of the Constitution’s emoluments clause. Trump has tremendous conflicts of interest which lawyers and, likely, courts, will some day pass judgment upon.

Minutes earlier, Mike Pence took the oath of office to become Vice President:

President Trump won the White House after a 17-month campaign terrorizing minorities and women, which he launched with his now infamous attack on America’s neighbors to the south:

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best,” Trump said from the lobby of his Trump Tower in Manhattan. “They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

Trump proceeded to hold campaign rallies during which he encouraged violence and hatred, especially against minorities and the press.

On November 8, 2016, Trump won the White House, with a total of 304 Electoral College votes, ranking him, contrary to his claims, a low 46th out of 58. His Democratic opponent, former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, won the popular vote, with a historic 2.9 million more votes than Trump.

Furthering Americans’ concerns about the legitimacy of Trump’s presidency are revelations from all 17 of America’s intelligence agencies, that the Russian government, likely under the direction of Vladimir Putin, hacked Democratic institutions and engaged in a targeted campaign to help Donald Trump win the American presidency. Those revelations were magnified less than 18 hours before Trump repeated the oath of office, in a New York Times report that the FBI, CIA, and NSA are investigating three of Trump’s campaign associates for intercepted communications and possible money transfers with Russian officials.

Whether or not Trump can keep his promises – he’s made at least 663, according to Think Progress – remains to be seen, but Friday afternoon President Trump is expected to walk in to the Oval Office and sign a number of executive orders that will likely be far-reaching and dramatically change the face and tenor of the United States. Among them, orders on immigration, national security, and regulations.

Trump has promised to nullify all of President Barack Obama’s executive orders he deems “unconstitutional.” Among them could be  orders that rescind President Barack Obama’s orders protecting from anti-LGBT discrimination 14 million people who work for federal government contractors, approximately 20 percent of the nation’s workforce.

Donald Trump foments violence and hate, is a serial liar, a racist, a misogynist, a supporter of white nationalism, a fascistic bully, an authoritarian thug, a sexual assault and adultery braggart, a hypocrite, a defrauder, and is a danger to civil rights, freedom of the press, and peace around the world.
