WATCH: Kellyanne Conway Denounces US Intelligence Agencies for ‘Interfering’ With US Election ‘After the Fact’

‘We’re … Not in Favor of Our Intelligence Interfering With Our Elections After the Fact’

Incoming Trump administration White House counselor Kellyanne Conway is denouncing America’s intelligence agencies for what she described as interfering in the U.S. election “after the fact.” Speaking with CNN late Thursday Conway tried to push back the conclusions of America’s 17 intelligence agencies that Russia intervened in the election and did so in an attempt to help Donald Trump. She also suggested President Barack Obama‘s sanctions against Russia, announced Thursday afternoon, were a political act designed to hamstring Donald Trump.

Conway made clear she and the incoming Trump administration have zero desire to find truth and prevent further foreign intrusion, focusing instead on what she claims is an attempt to delegitimize the election’s results.

“Every time Russian hacking is mentioned now, since Hillary Clinton lost,” Conway told CNN’s Kate Bolduan, “and it wasn’t a squeaker, we got 306 electoral votes,” Conway said, falsely (it was 304), “ever since then the issue of Russian hacking has been discussed in context of the election. And that is where the president is saying we should move on,” Conway said, prematurely referring to Trump as “the president.”

“And we should move on because the idea that there is a nexus between the hacking and the election result.”

She went on to lament that “many are” questioning the validity of the election.

Bolduan was forced to remind Conway that “this is serious. This is about a foreign country hacking into the United States’ electoral process. Regardless, it doesn’t even have to do with the result, even. It is more that they tried to and did.”

Conway went on to blame the DNC for being hacked – ignoring that the RNC was also hacked.

“We are not in favor of foreign governments interfering in our elections or in our intelligence. We’re also not in favor of our intelligence interfering with our elections after the fact,” Conway concluded, ignoring that the FBI’s interference with the election in the final days of the race largely contributed to her boss winning the election.
