Trump Statement Denies CIA Report Validity
The Trump transition team has just issued a statement in response to a Washington Post article published Friday night that reveals a secret CIA assessment finds Russia intervened in the U.S. election to help Donald Trump win.
“These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction,” the Trump transition team statement begins.
“The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history,” it falsely continues.
“It’s now time to move on and ‘Make America Great Again,'” it concludes.
That is the full extent of the statement regarding intelligence that a foreign power has intervened in our electoral system.
UPDATE:
Just for the record, the Trump transition team lied by stating, “one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history.”
Trump’s Electoral College win is ranked 46th out of 58.
And note, they did not actually deny Russian involvement.
