270+ Means Trump is Next President
Donald Trump has crossed the 270 vote threshold in the Electoral College vote, officially making him the next President of the United States. The U.S. House of Representatives next month will have to confirm the vote, but any chance of Trump being denied the victory is over.
Four electors did defect during Monday’s Electoral College vote casting, but they were reportedly Bernie Sanders supporters, bound to Hillary Clinton, not Donald Trump. As of now Trump has had two Electoral College members defect, in Texas.
