School Board Votes to Ask for Resignation of Racist Trump Official Who Hopes Michelle Obama Goes to Live With a Gorilla
Carl Paladino Also Said He Hope President Obama ‘Catches Mad Cow Disease After Being Caught Having Relations’ With a Cow
Carl Paladino is not a nice man. The Donald Trump New York campaign co-chair and former Republican nominee for governor of the State of New York now sits on the City of Buffalo’s school board, but maybe not for long. Paldino last week responded to an email questionnaire from a local newspaper, offering a set of vile, anti-LGBT, racist responses.
Asked what he wants to see “go” next year, Paladino told the alt-weekly Artvoice, “Michelle Obama. I’d like her to return to being a male and let loose in the outback of Zimbabwe where she lives comfortably in a cave with Maxie, the gorilla.”
That was just part of his racist tirade.
President Barack Obama, Paladino hopes, “catches mad cow disease after being caught having relations with a Her[e]ford” cow. “He dies before his trial and is buried in a cow pasture next to Valerie Jarret[t],” he continued, referring to President Barack Obama’s senior advisor, “who died weeks prior, after being convicted of sedition and treason, when a Jihady [sic] cell mate mistook her for being a nice person and decapitated her.”

The Buffalo school board, in response, voted 6-2 to ask Paladino to resign, as The Huffington Post’s Amanda Terkel reports. Some noted had he been a student he would have been suspended, at the very least. It’s shameful the board’s vote was not unanimous.

The board gave Paladino 24 hours to do the right thing, warning if he refuses it will petition the state to have him removed.
“Buffalonians sick of Paladino making their city look bad mobilized Thursday, first for a protest downtown in Niagara Square and later at a special school board meeting at city hall,” The Huffington Post adds.

The resolution calls Paladino’s comments “unambiguously racist, morally repugnant, flagrantly disrespectful, inflammatory and inexcusable.†It received “an enthusiastic standing ovation” from those in the crowd, Terkel, who was present, reported, and as this video shows:

Braving the “cold, slushy weather” outside were several hundred people protesting.
Paladino is “like a test case,” 74-year old Ellie Dorritie told Terkel. “If we let him stay, if we give him a pass, if we even give him a week ― it’s like a green light for all the rest of the slime to come out of the sewer. And because we have the Trump administration coming up ― all of that garbage, flowing all around it ― it means that we’re going to give Trump a chance to do that. We’ve had Carl Paladino’s filth for so many years. It’s got to end now.â€
