“It’s not fair to say ‘stable.’ I am not saying she is fine, or not fine,” he told Reuters by telephone in response to reports about her condition. “She is in the ICU.”

Actress and author Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in Star Wars, has been stabilized at a Los Angeles hospital after suffering a heart attack Friday aboard a flight from London to Los Angeles.

Fisher, 60, was initially reported in critical condition after suffering a “cardiac episode” shortly before the United Airlines flight landed. She was treated by passengers and crew onboard before being rushed to the hospital after landing at LAX airport.

Fisher’s brother, Todd Fisher, later told the Associated Press she was “out of emergency,” The Guardian reports, but said he could not provide further details.

Fisher was returning from a book tour for her recently published autobiography, “Princess Diarist,” her eighth book.
