Pat McCrory Has a Job Waiting for Him in Trump’s White House – Which Job Just Hasn’t Been Decided Yet

‘They’re Definitely Going to Take Care of Him’

Pat McCrory, who lost his re-election bid after signing and subsequently advocating vociferously for an anti-LGBT bill, HB2, that cost his state many jobs and millions in revenue, won’t have to worry about a resume gap. The soon-to-be former North Carolina governor has a job waiting for him in the Trump administration, although exactly which job is still unclear.

“They’re definitely going to take care of him,” an unnamed source close to the Trump transition team tells The Charlotte Observer.

McCrory couldn’t keep his own job but delivered the Tar Heel State to Trump. The president-elect included North Carolina in his victory tour last week, and met with Gov. McCrory one day after, at Trump Tower.

The Observer notes Trump called McCrory a “loyal Trump supporter from Day One.”

It’s unclear that McCrory would rate a cabinet-level position, although, according to the Observer, he could be offered a position as the head of FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, “or find a job in the Transportation, Commerce or Energy departments. Trump has named cabinet secretaries for the latter three agencies, but many other positions remain unfilled.” FEMA is a part of the Dept. Of Homeland Security.

Apparently, this rare moment of support for women was not a problem for the billionaire real estate magnate and president-elect:

Meanwhile, it looks like Gov. McCrory is keeping busy:
