Passenger Kicked Off JetBlue Flight After Telling Ivanka Trump ‘Your Father Is Ruining the Country’

JetBlue kicked a passenger and his family off a Thursday morning flight to West Palm Beach, Florida after he allegedly told Ivanka Trump, who was also on the flight, “Your father is ruining the country.”

Brooklyn attorney Dan Goldstein was traveling with his husband, college professor Matthew Lasner, and their child. Goldstein reportedly told flight personnel, “You’re kicking me off for expressing my opinion?” according to TMZ. Ivanka was reportedly traveling coach with her family. 

“The decision to remove a customer from a flight is not taken lightly,” JetBlue said in a statement. “If the crew determines that a customer is causing conflict on the aircraft, the customer will be asked to deplane, especially if the crew feels the situation runs the risk of escalation during flight. Our team worked to re-accommodate the party on the next available flight.”

Before being kicked off, Lassner had tweeted, “Ivanka and Jared at JFK T5, flying commercial. My husband chasing them down to harass them,” folowed by the hashtag #banalityofevil.

He has since closed down his Twitter account after right wing Trump supporters attacked him and his family, used anti-gay slurs, and called for him to be fired. A few examples:

Goldstein also said: “Why is she on our flight? She should be flying private.”

Another passenger told TMZ that Trump attempted to distract her children and ignore the man, who was subsequently removed from the flight by JetBlue personnel.
