The Ku Klux Klan planned a victory parade for Donald Trump in North Carolina on Saturday.Â
The Loyal White Knights of Pelham, North Carolina — one of the largest KKK groups in the country — initially planned the parade for 9 a.m. in the small town on the Virginia border, according to the Times News. Â
However, the KKK chapter rescheduled the event after hundreds of counterprotesters showed up. Times-News reporter Natalie Janicello said the KKK organizers blamed a “snafu” — or “situation normal all fucked up.”
Update: parade has been moved to this afternoon, according to the Loyal White Knights. Still haven’t said what the snafu is.

Janicello later reported on Twitter that the parade had been moved to nearby Roxboro at 3 p.m. She captured the above footage of what appears to be KKK members driving through Roxboro.
Just followed them downtown. Lady leaned out the window at me and tailed “Hail victory.” Flying Christian and Trump flags also.

Janicello said she was unable to keep up with the KKK members because they were getting an escort from the North Carolina Highway Patrol. It’s unclear whether Janicello’s footage is the parade itself, or whether participants were traveling to another location to stage their event.Â
Meanwhile, hundreds of counterprotesters gathered in Charlotte for a “March For Love†in response to the KKK on Saturday morning. Another counterprotest took place in Danville, Virginia.Â

THAT was their march? Jesus Christ, my tiny rural town’s Christmas parade takes ten times longer and it has cute dogs. https://t.co/d5Qg2mO4yV

@natalie_allison was that the #kkk “parade”? They need to call the #LGBT community and get tips on how to do a real parade…

God damnit. Well, at least the cowards had to spend half the day running around the state hiding from protesters. Hardly a “victory parade.” https://t.co/4zxrtL5sxq

Incredibly pathetic, cowardly showing from a moribund hate group that loves to talk a big game on the Internet. https://t.co/cuKRI8bWyb
