Introducing Donald Trump at a “Thank You” rally in Alabama on Saturday, Christian evangelist Franklin Graham again credited God for electing Donald Trump as president.
“Since the election there’s been a lot of discussion as to how Donald Trump won the election,” Graham said. “And I don’t have any scientific information. I don’t have a stack of emails to read to you, but I have an opinion: I believe it was God. God showed up, he answered the prayers of hundreds of thousands of people across this land that have been praying for this country.”Â
Graham then proceeded to say a prayer of thanks for Trump’s victory.Â
As we reported, Graham wrote on Twitter this week, “Do you think the Russians interfered with the outcome of the U.S. election or was it God?”
Moments later, Trump praised Graham as being “so instrumental” to his victory.Â
“We won so big with evangelical Christians,” Trump said. “He worked so hard. Anybody that has anything to do with the great Billy Graham, I love, and that’s the son.”
The rally in Mobile, Alabama will be the last of the year on Trump’s “Thank You” tour. Watch his speech live below.
